Bio

Michael Warner is the Redesign Grant Program Manager for John Adams Middle School in Grand Prairie Independent School District and is currently a doctoral student at UT Dallas pursuing a PhD in Philosophy with a concentration in Visual and Performing Arts through the School of Arts and Humanities. He is interested in the increasing need for collaborative learning environments & the self-directed nature of engagement, play, and discovery as a way to increase student success in the classrooms. He has 12 years of field experience managing programs for students, directing the efforts of after-school programs, leading non-profit organizations and working for and alongside school districts for student change. His research and career efforts seek to connect art, music, philosophy, history, and engineering to technology. In his free time, he works on developing further skills in digital art, programming, 3D modeling, and video game theory.
