Dhruba Deb is a PhD student in the Cancer Biology graduate program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He conducts experiments and analyses on the variability of cancer cells at single cell level. His focus has been on oncogene-induced signaling heterogeneity in lung cancer. In addition, he practices fine art on his own time and collaborates on art-science projects. Dhruba is interested in the unpredictability of cancer and its therapeutic implications. He is creating a community of cancer “sci-artists” who are interested in and can contribute to both cancer research and fine art.
